Re: Little bit childish action is it?

Dan,

We have repeatedly answered your questions. Lynne in particular has done her best to answer you. If you do not like, or understand the answer, that is not our problem.

You are accusing her of lying and censorship. This is a personal attack against her. You are one of several people who have been attacking her personally. Personal attacks are not welcome.

The thread she refers to had to be deleted, because of the problems people involved with Mia caused as a result. This announcement was posted on 12 May and outlined team restructuring, team leaders, the working groups, the new dev mailing list. While that particular announcement was taken away, the "Discuss the annoucement" thread is still there to be seen, showing that Lynne was NOT lying about it. You can see that thread here:
http://forum.mambo-foundation.org/sh...ad.php?t=11617

That thread quickly degenerated into personal attacks, aggressive behaviour, unfounded accusations, from several people involved with, or supporting Mia.

Closing a topic that has degenerated into repeated personal attacks to team members is not something new. Editing abusive language is also not something new. The fact is, there is a LOT less of these administrative actions here than there is on many other forums. I invite you to go see the very large forum of another Mambo fork, and spend some time there, you'll quickly see the meaning of true censorship.

I will not explain to you again why the particular announcement has gone, but it has been made and there is proof of that for anyone to see in the discussion thread, as linked above.

Lynne also made a request of all team members to add their name to the Forge a few weeks ago in the private forum. Those who have access to the private forum can see that. Unfortunately, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON BOTHERED TO DO IT. The blame here lays on to the people who have not added their names, not on Lynne.

Censoring people sounds little bit childish to mo.
The repeated attacks on individuals in the team, in particular Lynne, and others, such as myself, are the reason we are cautious about these issues. If the people involved with that other project, and other people, such as you, were not so gung-ho in your attacks, there would be no need for this.

Now, I'd be interested to know just how long it would be before I was censored and kicked off the other project's forum if I went there and repeatedly attacked the people involved in that project.

Did you vote at the last elections? No, you didn't, that's right. You couldn't vote because you hadn't bothered becoming a member. In fact, no vote was called for because nobody bothered standing for election within the appropriate timeframe. I resent your implied accusations that the board is misbehaving.

Perhaps you forget that one of the leader of that other project you are suddenly so fond of was actualy both Project Leader of Mambo *and* a director on the Board. They had "the power to change and make Mambo move on", if that is what they wanted.

Dan, despite you appearing to be very aggressive in the way you asked your questions, they were answered. Even when you decided you did not like the answers and asked again, they were answered again.

Now, I will thank you to accept the answer given. I would really appreciate you retracting your unfounded accusations. Either way, if you are not ready to participate in a pleasant and positive manner, please move on.
