Elpie,

You do not need to apologize to me or anyone. You and the other developers do what you can do and as I say, if anyone has to complaint they should put their money where their mouth is and give a bit of money for development.

Re: Data of release Mambo 4.7

What evidence is there of any development? The SVN stats speak for themselves.

Ric Shreves is being kind when he says Mambo isn't "dead," but it's really become a matter of semantics. See the 2009 Open Source CMS Market Share:
http://www.cmswire.com/downloads/cms-market-share/

Given the proliferation of other open source CMS platforms that have advanced far beyond Mambo, it is not in the larger interest of "the community" to hide from these facts and the questions they raise.

Do your own due diligence and research, SaS.

dpk, I understand what you are saying and perhaps Mambo is a little stuck, but if you like the CMS and if you are a good coder give it some help. I am code blind, otherwise I would.

Re: Data of release Mambo 4.7

Sas, it's not like that. This stuff takes years of steady effort from a few people or a fairly big team. I migrated my last Mambo site off of Mambo this year and quit building anything new with it 3 years ago. It is simply not worth using unless you are just really familiar with it, don't want to learn anything new, and can build your own extensions as you need them. That is really not an ideal way to work, however, especially on a platform that is not progressing.

Re: Data of release Mambo 4.7

Dpk, I have 2 Mambos, 3 Joomla, 3 Wordpress, 1 SBI a regular html and more. But I am still a code because I focus my mind in content and let the ones who know do their job and help them as much as I can.

Mambo is a very good CMS and plenty of Joomla modules work with it.

Mambo developers have my confidence and support, I believe it might take some time but Mambo 7 will come.

Also in this forum I have always received friendly useful advise (even when my questions were absolutely nerdy and laughable!) , that I much appreciate.
