WYSIWIG editor works on one computer but not on another

I set up a website for my sister using Mambo 4.6.5. When I log on as her on my pc, all works fine and the editor functions perfectly. I usually use Google chrome as my browser but it also works with other browsers too. When she logs on on her own pc, the editor doesn't work. She has tried several browsers, but with no luck. All she gets is the html code and she can't switch out of that to get the fully functioning editor.

I have searched the forums to see if this has been covered. There is a lot of information about troubleshooting the wysiwig editor but nothing about why it would be different on different pcs.

Can anyone help?

Hi Marie, if you look at the troubleshooting FAQ again I think you will find that some of the information there relates to browser issues with the editor. Since different PC's often use different browsers (or different versions of a browser, or different personal options) there are some issues that only arise with certain browser configurations.

Have a look particularly at the information about JavaScript. In most cases, the kind of issue she is getting relates to browser issues with JavaScript compression.
